Salisbury Plain is a broad coastal area on the northwest side of South Georgia, backed by steep mountains and glaciers. Its open shoreline is particularly notable for the large Antarctic fur seal population that gathers here, making it one of the island’s important wildlife viewing sites. The plain lies along the Bay of Isles, where beaches, tussock-covered slopes, snowfields, and rugged peaks create a varied landscape. Access is generally by expedition vessel.

Kunming, the capital of China’s Yunnan Province, is often called the “City of Eternal Spring” for its mild climate and blooming flowers year-round. Perched on a plateau more than 6,000 feet above sea level, Kunming has long served as a crossroads of cultures and trade routes connecting China to Southeast Asia.

Troy, a place of legends and a place of history. One of the most famous cities of ancient history, the mythological city of Troy dates back to the early Bronze Age. Best known as the famous city of Helen and the horse of Trojans from Homer's Iliad.

Opatija, located on Croatia’s Kvarner Bay, has been drawing visitors since the 19th century, when Austro-Hungarian aristocrats built grand villas along its Adriatic shoreline. Today, many of those same buildings still stand with some restored as luxury hotels and others preserved as cultural landmarks. The town’s most recognizable structure, Villa Angiolina, opened in 1844 and marked the start of Opatija’s rise as a fashionable seaside resort.

Mont Blanc is the highest mountain in the Alps, rising within the Mont Blanc massif on the border between France and Italy. Its summit reaches roughly 4,805 meters and is surrounded by glaciers, snowfields, rocky ridges, and some of the highest peaks in Western Europe. The mountain dominates views from Chamonix in France and Courmayeur in Italy, while the surrounding massif forms a major alpine landscape for mountaineering, hiking, skiing, and scientific study.
